This page provides users with information on how to browse the Diplomas for each Line of Learning. For each Diploma users can view the Diploma structure and the composite qualifications. The qualifications which make up a Diploma for each Line of Learning and level are principal learning, project, functional skills (except at level 3) and additional and specialist learning qualifications.
The examples below provide the user with information on how to browse the Diplomas and the constituent qualifications. For further information about the Diploma qualifications please contact the owning awarding body.
Example 1: To see a list of the constituent qualifications in a Diploma.
- Select an appropriate Line of Learning e.g. Information Technology.
- This will expand to show links to the catalogues for Diplomas available at each level within this Line of Learning on the left hand side, as well as links to information on awarding bodies who can award the full Diploma qualification on the right hand side.
- The levels available are: Foundation, Higher, Advanced and Progression. For more information about what the levels mean, as well as other aspects of the structure of the Diploma, visit the QCA Diploma webpages at www.qca.org.uk/diploma.
- Select the title of the Diploma of interest to view the constituent qualifications available.
- Within the “Diploma qualification details” screen the user is able to scroll down to view the structure of this Diploma. The structure provides the user with the list of the constituent qualifications.
- Select a relevant qualification within the principal learning or project groups to see more details of the qualification.
- To view the Additional and Specialist qualifications for the Diploma scroll to the bottom of the page and select the link to “view all Additional and Specialist Learning”
- Select an appropriate Line of Learning e.g. Construction and the Built Environment.
- This will expand to show links to the catalogues for Diplomas available at each level within this Line of Learning on the left hand side, as well as links to information on awarding bodies who can award the full Diploma qualification on the right hand side.
- Select the right-hand side “Information about the Diploma qualifications ” link to see the full list of awarding bodies that are able to award the full Diploma qualification for that Line of Learning.
