Your search results page is packed with information. Here is a quick guide to decoding it. Each row is a search result that the NDAQ search engine found by using your search criteria. To view an individual record, click on it and details will be displayed.
The results are listed in the order that they were accredited, with the most recently accredited qualifications displayed first. By default you will see 10 search results per page – it’s set this way for the fastest response time. However, if you want to see more results per page, you can increase the number to 20, 30 or 50 through the “Show results” drop-down list.
You can also choose the order in which your results are displayed. To change the sort order, use the “Sort results” by drop–down list.
The results page provides the following information:
Keys
- Title -The title of qualification. You can also click on the title to see the details of the qualification.
- Type -The type of the qualification (eg: NVQ, VRQ).
- Level -The level of the qualification (eg: Level 1, Level 3).
- Awarding body - Displays the acronym of the awarding body that owns the qualification. You can select the acronym to see more details of the awarding body.
- Expired icon - Highlights qualification(s) that have passed their accreditation end date. This means that no further candidates can register on this particular qualification.
- New icon - Qualifications accredited in the last 30 days are flagged as new.
- Matches on this page and total number of matches -This indicates which qualifications are on view out of the total number of results returned, for example viewing 51 to 60 out of the 231 results returned.
- Page navigation - Click on the page number to view, or click Next or Previous to see the next set of results.
- Refine search results button - select this button to reduce the number of qualifications found. It will take you to the “Detailed qualification search” screen.
- Sort results by - Indicates that the results are sorted on the values in this column. Selecting a value from the Sort results by drop down list sorts the results in the order chosen. The default order shows the most recently accredited qualifications near the top, with the rest shown in a random order. All columns can be sorted.
- Show results - The default order shows 10 results per page. If you want to see more results per page, you can increase the number to 20, 30 or 50 by select the appropriate value from the drop-down list.
- Download results - You can save the results found in a search (data from all screens, not just the visible one) to a file on your local computer as a CSV file (Comma Separated Variable), which can then be opened with a spreadsheet program. To export all the records found in a search, click the Download results link, and then click Save. You will be prompted to define a name and a location on their computer for the exported file. PLEASE NOTE: Depending upon how your spreadsheet program imports a CSV file, you may need to reformat some of the columns.
- Print -Prints the results using the browser default print settings.
