Availability for Use
Indicates who can use the unit. The possible values for this field are 'Available only to the AB
who owns the unit to award credit (private)', 'Available to all ABs to award credit (shared)' or
'Available to a defined group of ABs to award credit (restricted)'
Unit type
Identifies if the unit type is an AS or A2 within the qualification. Please note this is only specific to GCE qualifications.
Unit reference number
This indicates the unique reference number of the Unit (eg: A/000/0000). Note: this number is generated randomly and is not sector or content specific.
Unit owner name
The acronym of the awarding body or organisation that owns the unit. You can click on the acronym to see more details of the awarding body.
Unit owner reference number
The unique identifier code applied to the unit by the unit owner to distinguish it from other units.
Unit level
This narrows the search to units at the specific level in the NQF or the QCF.
Unit credit value
The number of credits awarded to a learner who successfully completes the unit.
Unit guided learning hours
A notional measure of the substance of a unit. It includes an estimate of the time that might be allocated to direct teaching or instruction, together with other structured learning time, such as directed assignments, assessments on the job or supported individual study and practice. It excludes learner-initiated private study.

The date from which delivery of a unit is first available.

The date from which a unit is no longer available to learners.
