Qualification summary

The qualification has been developed by and is exclusively awarded and administered by 1st4sport Qualifications. This qualification forms the mandatory technical certificate component of Apprenticeships in the Active Leisure and Learning Industry Framework, developed by SkillsActive, the Sector Skills Council (SSC) for the industry.

The Level 2 and 3 Certificate in Industry and Organisational Awareness for the Active Leisure and Learning Industry, have been developed to provide learners with an appropriate understanding of their employment rights and responsibilities, the organisation they work in and how the organisation sits within the Active Leisure and Learning Industry. It also allows candidates to gain a clear understanding of the industry they are working in.

As the mandatory ERR component of the Active Leisure and Learning Apprenticeship Framework, this qualification enables candidates to progress within their Apprenticeship and supports their access to other qualifications within the framework. The qualification will also support any candidate's induction into the industry and employment within the industry.

Portfolio of Evidence
The qualification has been designed with to be assessed via candidate's completion of twelve tasks/assignments which they are required to predominantly research and complete within a Candidate Workbook. Eleven of the twelve tasks will be internally assessed and the remaining one, independently assessment. This single task from Unit B2 is common for all candidates.
The qualification is composed of three mandatory units as indicated in the qualification structure.
