The qualification can be used to support employment in the field of spectator safety in the role of a steward. In football in particular the minimum requirement is that all stewards working in a live spectator environment should hold or be working towards a national recognised qualification at level 2.

The qualification also supports progression to further candidates involvement in spectator safety and would be good preparation for progression on to the Level 3 NVQ in Spectator Safety.
