Qualification summary

This qualification will function as an introductory qualification for non clinical staff in the health care sector. It will provide them with an understanding of medical terminology in order that they may carry out their job effectively. It will also facilitate progression to the existing Level 3 Award in Medical Terminology for Non-Clinical Professionals.

Written Examination
The examination for the AMSPAR Level 2 Award in Medical Terminology for Non-Clinical Professionals is one hour long. The paper is set and marked by AMSPAR. It contains questions adding up to 100 marks. In accordance with regulatory requirements, all learning outcomes will be assessed during each examination.
This is a single unit award, which will also form a part of the AMSPAR level 2 Diploma for Medical Receptionists.
