ASET Level 1 NVQ in Business and Administration

Qualification summary

The aim of this NVQ in Business and Administration is to deliver competence based training relating directly to the National Occupational Standards developed by the Council for Administration. This will strengthen the provision of professional levels of service within business and administration occupations.

Objectives:
•Provide the learner with the opportunity to develop and apply skills and knowledge within their business environment.
•Enable the learner to demonstrate competence when carrying out their responsibilities at work.
•Develop a learner’s skills and knowledge in work activities relevant to their job role.

At this level the learner will cover basic skills, knowledge and ability needed to apply learning in the work place with guidance or supervision. Tasks covered relate to junior job roles such as Office Junior.

ASET complies with the CfA Assessment Strategy, approved March 2006, and the CfA Assessment Guide, June 2006. Independent assessment is via external verification procedures documented in ‘ASET NVQ Centre Guidance 2005-2006’, which was banked with QCA as part of the agreed Part ‘A’ Submission to run NVQs. Centres will need to ensure robust quality assurance of assessment via internal verification procedures specified by ASET. Common assessment methods include: observation, witness testimonies, work products, questioning and simulation
