To provide candidates with the knowledge and skills required to lead health related activity session for a group of participants.

Objectives:

•To provide an understanding of how to promote safety during activity sessions, identify and deal with hazards and reduce risks in the activity environment
•To provide an understanding of the links between activity, health and fitness
•To enable candidates to plan and prepare an activity session plan
•To provide candidates with the skills to deliver a safe and effective activity session
•To enable candidates to review the effectiveness of the activity session and action plan for future sessions
