Qualification summary

The qualification is designed to develop and assess Functional Information and Communication Technology at Level 2 as determined by the functional skills standards ICT Level 2. The qualification and assessment are intended to enhance skills application and deployment across a range of contexts. The functional skills qualifications will provide a platform to further achievement through the development of fundamental, applied skills in key subject areas. The knowledge, skills and problem-solving approaches contained within the qualification provide tools that can be utilised in work, life and further learning.

Functional skills are recognised as vital to learner’s personal development, increasing both confidence and effectiveness.
