Qualification summary

The Foundation Certificate in Meat and Poultry Hygiene (formally the Meat Safety Certificate) has been devised to meet the needs of meat and poultry businesses for meat and poultry hygiene training that is sector specific. In order for meat and poultry businesses to prosper, they will need to keep their hygiene procedures under constant review, making improvements when necessary. Structured and certificated hygiene training is becoming a must. Customers expect it. Government regulations and guidelines increasingly specify it. The consumer needs the re-assurance that comes with a fully qualified workforce.
