FDQ Level 2 NVQ in Cleaning and Support Services
Qualification summary
This qualification has been designed for those working in Cleaning and Support Services. To achieve the award candidates must complete three mandatory units which cover maintain service delivery; ensure your own actions reduce risks to health and safety; and work as a member of a team. Candidates must also complete three optional units from a choice of seven which cover clean floors manually; clean furniture, fittings and vertical services manually; clean toilets and washrooms manually; clear highways and land manually; clear spillages from highways and land manually; remove graffiti and fly-posters manually; and manually clear snow and treat highways and land for ice.

Within Food and Drink Qualifications' map it clearly shows how the NVQ Level 1 and 2 Cleaning and Support Services fits in and encourages progression for candidates. Approved centres will have the opportunity to access both the Meat and Poultry and Food and Drink Manufacturing Operations standards and provide horizontal progression. This will benefit candidates that work in large meat companies that contain food companies who may have to reallocate due to group or company re-structuring.

External assessment is used via the completion of an annual risk rating questionnaire by the awarding body.
Candidates must complete all units in Group A, Mandatory Units.
Candidates must also complete one unit from Group B, and three units
from Group C, Optional Units. A further unit must be completed from
either optional group.
