FDQ Level 2 Introductory Certificate in Management
Qualification summary
This award is part of a suite of management awards. The qualifications produce 3 introductory awards, which will encourage candidates to progress onto the full awards as they will have achieved some units. FDQ is purely focussed on the meat and poultry and food and drink sector and this will enable our existing centres to access a full framework of qualifications from NVQs to VRQs. The 6 awards will be given a general management title and then endorsement applied if taken in either the food and drink or meat and poultry sector.
Consisting of 36 units, the management programme relates specifically to the framework and special needs of the meat and poultry/food and drink industry, and covers all aspects of management and communication training for newly promoted supervisors or for those employees with managerial potential right through to senior management. Among other things it provides solutions to the problems shared by other craft industries resulting from the practice of promoting experienced operatives or craftsmen, or management personnel with no previous management training.
