The holder of this qualification has satisfied the assessment requirements associated with manipulating glass tubing, rod or component at bench, in the lathe or in situ; setting special purpose machines including jigs and fixtures; safely using power and hand tools; oven annealing; quality assurance; and the preparation of documentation including records, specifications, drawings and data sheets.
