This qualification covers competence in the installation and repair of automotive glazing components in standard production vehicles (cars & light vans). Candidates must complete 9 units. These cover:determining the actions needed to meet customer requirements; preparing equipment and site for installation or repair work; installing/repairing fixed glass components and opening body glasses in the vehicle; shaping glass components for installation; repairing damage to windscreen glass in the vehicle; completing work and handing over the vehicle to the customer; health and safety, and contributing to the quality of the organisation's effectiveness.
