Glass Forming Operations
Qualification summary
This qualification accredits competence in glass forming operations. Candidates must complete a total of seven units, covering: obtaining and providing information on operations, maintaining health and safety in the working environment, contributing to the effectiveness of the organisation, controlling the flow of melted glass through the forming process, forming glass products to meet specifications, assuring the quality of formed glass products to meet specifications, and maintaining the operation of forming equipment to meet new requirements. Candidates may also choose to take additional units from Employment National Training Org standards.

Candidates must complete all units in Group A, Mandatory Units.
Additional units from the ENTO standards, covering assessor and
verifier competences, may also be taken and certificated separately.
These, however, are not required for completion of the NVQ.
