Qualification summary

This level 1 qualification has been developed for those working in the construction industry and accredits competence in glazing. Candidates must complete eight mandatory units covering: health and safety in the workplace; creating and maintaining work relationships; efficiency in the workplace; selection and use of access equipment; preparing materials for application; installing finishing components (single glass, and insulating glass units); and loading/unloading materials and components. Assessments will be carried out mainly in company/on the job.
