IMIAL Level 2 Certificate in Roadside Assistance and Recovery

Qualification summary

This is a level 2 qualification that provides essential knowledge for recovery operatives securing the roadside situation and completing simple recoveries.

It is a learning programme which involves students studying both the theory and practical aspects of the following;
• Assess and Secure the Roadside Situation
• Remove and Transport Vehicles

Students also gain a broad knowledge and understanding of health and safety when recovering vehicles at the roadside.

Candidates can progress from this VRQ to the IMIAL Level 3 Diploma in Roadside Assistance and Recovery, or if they employed in a suitable job the IMIAL Level 2 NVQ in Roadside Assistance and Recovery.

This qualification forms an integral part of the IMI (Automotive Skills) Roadside Assistance and Recovery Apprenticeship.
