As indicated, the qualification provides the background for access to the Level 6 qualification. Completion of both of these qualifications plus the appropriate qualifying employment enables students to become practising Legal Executives and Fellows of the Institute.

The Legal Executive route is an established and recognised route for individuals wishing to qualify as solicitors. There is significant evidence to suggest also that the qualification provides an essential opportunity for individuals working in the not-for-profit sector who deliver specialist legal advice.

The qualification delivery is flexible and is the accepted route for those individuals wishing to combine work and study in becoming a lawyer.
