1 Know the importance of main administrative roles and processes. a. Identify the main administrative processes that support businesses.

b. Describe why effective administration is essential to the running of a business.
2 Know the Health and Safety requirements relevant to the business environment. a. Identify safe working practices.

b. Identify how to avoid potential hazards in a business environment.

c. Describe standard procedures for reporting hazards and accidents.

d. Identify safety procedures for dealing with emergencies.
3 Be able to compose commonly used business documents. a. Produce a range of simple business documents using appropriate language and format.

b. Select the most appropriate business document for the purpose.
4 Be able to carry out a range of administrative processes effectively. a. Estimate time required to complete tasks.

b. Organise time and resources to complete a range of administrative tasks.

c. Prioritise tasks and agree deadlines.
