Unit summary
Within this unit you will learn about the equipment found in a catering outlet, how to use it safely and choose the correct piece of equipment for a particular purpose.
You will gain an awareness of food preparation and presentation by assisting with the cooking of a meal. You will learn how to follow a simple recipe; selecting ingredients, weighing/measuring and preparing them.
You will also learn how to assemble a sandwich identifying a range of breads and fillings.
