Unit summary
It is very important to be able to recognise good health and ill health in animals. If we can recognise when an animal is ill, we will be able to prevent any further suffering and start treatment for the animal.
There are common signs of good health in animals, but different animals have their own particular illnesses that you should be able to identify.
You will learn how to use your own senses of sight, hearing, smell and touch to help identify illnesses in a range of animals.
