Stock control is an important part of florists’ daily activities. Its is essential to make sure that the shop has enough flowers, plants, foam, buckets etc. it is important to keep an up to date record of what is in stock so that extra things can be ordered as and when they are required. Stock control is also an important part of running the business. Stock control systems can either be computer based or recorded on paper.
This unit will teach you how to control stock in a florists shop. You will learn how to count and record stock levels, and why this is important. You will be shown different methods of recording these stock counts after they have been done. You will be shown how to check the results of stock takes and why this is important.
