Unit summary
This unit is all about health and safety in the workplace. It is very important that where ever you work you carry out your duties and follow procedures in a way which doesn’t cause any danger to yourself or others.
In this unit you will learn about health and safety rules and what you should do in an emergency. You will need to be able to show an understanding of your health and safety responsibilities and those of others within the work environment.
The unit aims to raise your ability to identify basic hazards in the workplace, understand the meaning of safety signs and select appropriate personal protective equipment.
