Unit summary
This unit gives the opportunity to consider the advantages of having a well trained and motivated workforce. It investigates an employee’s rights and responsibilities in relation to training and professional development.
This unit also requires learners to reflect upon the skills and knowledge required to fulfil a care role effectively. It gives the opportunity to evaluate and develop employment knowledge and skills by identifying where there are learning needs and planning how to address them.
It also explores the learning opportunities that are available to develop practice, and learners will evaluate their current and future practice by means of self-appraisal and feedback from others.
