Horses are groomed to make them clean and comfortable.
Grooming is also important so that the horse is used to being touched all over, which is useful for if and when it needs veterinary attention.
If you want to work with horses or to ride them then you need to know how to groom them. To groom them properly you need to learn about the tools for grooming. This is known as the grooming kit and you need to know what it is and how to use it. For special occasions horses are given baths and their manes and tails are washed. This is a very important job and you will learn how to do this correctly and safely without causing distress to the horse. Not all horses like to be bathed and it is very important that you can do this without injuring yourself or the horse.
