Unit summary

An important part of a florist’s daily routine is making sure that the shop and any items used in the shop are kept in a clean and safe condition. This is important both for the health of the flowers and plants, and the safety of staff and customers.

This unit aims to provide a basic understanding of shop maintenance in a floristry environment. You will be shown how to use cleaning equipment in a safe manner, in order to make the shop look presentable.

Presentation is an important aspect of floristry and this includes the appearance of the shop.
