Unit 5 - Practical Skills and Knowledge for Coaching Water Polo
Unit summary
This unit explores the practical skills and knowledge of being a support coach in a water polo environment by looking at areas of the Sport of Water Polo, Practical Skills, Techniques, Training Preparation and the Human Body.
Candidates will have the opportunity to gain practical poolside skills whilst utilising a prepared checklist of common faults and corrections. They will investigate the specialist nature of the sport of Water Polo whilst gaining on understanding of appropriate corrections to common faults, they will also deliver a five minute ‘mini polo!’ game as part of a pre planned session.
