Unit summary
A Teaching Skills Viva Voce, entailing a discussion with the examiners, including demonstrations of teaching approaches. The Teaching Skills Viva Voce is an opportunity for candidates to demonstrate to the examiners that they understand the principles of instrumental/vocal teaching and have considered teaching approaches and strategies. Candidates ability to perform to a set standard will also be assessed. Candidates will be expected to show their understanding of the idiom of their instrument, and this understanding must be derived from practical, not just theoretical, experience. Candidates should also be prepared to discuss their Written Submission, and matters arising from it.
