Dance Teaching and Learning
Unit summary
To offer a programme of study which enables the student teacher to select, use and evaluate a range of dance teaching methods and activities. It is designed to equip the student teacher with the knowledge and skills to undertake practical dance teaching which meets the needs of a range of groups and individuals. Not only will the study promote in the student teacher, a range of generic teaching skills, but subject-specific guidance on appropriate teaching methodology will be offered. This Unit is at the core of the whole programme and has double weighting over the other Units in terms of assessment.
