Driving Equine Transport Vehicle
Unit summary
Compulsory legal requirement for anyone involved or employed to drive horse transport vehicles carrying equines in connection with an economic activity on road journeys of 8 hours or over. Candidate is required to prepare the horse transport vehicle and to drive the vehicle with regard to equine welfare, safety and comfort. Candidate will need prior learning and experience in the transport of equines with regard to their welfare, safety and comfort. Candidiate must have a valid motor vehicle driving licence for the appropriate horse transport vehicle.
