This unit introduces the learner to professional issues relating to the work, roles and responsibilities of Language Service Professionals (LSPs), and others who facilitate communication with deaf and deafblind people. It explores issues involved in facilitating access, whether one is a practitioner, employer, manager or user, and examines the boundaries of the various communication professional roles, as well as their relationships with other professionals.
