Unit summary
By the end of this unit the learner will be able to: recognise that the person is deaf or deafblind; create an appropriate environment for communication with a deaf or deafblind person, taking into account the factors that can make communication with deaf and deafblind people easier; be able to demonstrate appropriate use of a range of methods and tactics for communicating with deaf and deafblind people; demonstrate a number of ways of repairing breakdowns in communication with a deaf or deafblind person.
