Qualification summary

As a level 2 qualification, the Edexcel Level 2 BTEC Award in Customer Service is for learners who are involved in a broad range of work activities that are less routine and predictable than at Level 1. Their job role will need to have some autonomy and responsibility and may require them to work as part of a team. The Level 2 BTEC Award in Customer Service is designed to provide:
• a framework of education and training for those in the customer service industry with a responsibility to provide customer care and support
• opportunities for personnel in the customer service industry to achieve a nationally recognised level 2 vocationally specific qualification
• the knowledge, understanding and skills learners need to provide effective customer service
• opportunities for learners to focus on the development of the major key skills and the wider key skills in a customer service context, such as improving own performance, working with others and problem solving
• opportunities for learners to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for successful performance in working life.
