EDEXCEL Level 2 NVQ in Carry and Deliver Goods

Qualification summary

The NVQ Level 2 in Carry and Deliver Goods is derived from the National Occupational Standards (NOS) devised by the Sector Skills Council, Skills for Logistics. The NOS define the skills and the competency of an employee or apprentice carrying out duties and responsibilities in the transportation and delivery of goods and allows their competency to be assessed and certified to a national standard.

Candidates would have the opportunity to progress to the Carry and Deliver Goods Apprenticeship; framework defined by Skills for Logistics, They may choose to undertake an NVQ in Driving Goods Vehicles at level 2 or level 3 or the proposed Freight Operators Registration Scheme (FORS) qualification the London Logistics Booster.

All assessment is work-based. Edexcel issue general guidance to centres that recommends holistic assessment as an holistic and integrated approach to assessment. Candidate evidence for individual units will be internally assessed, assessment decisions internally verified and decisions and processes externally verified. External Verifiers will have no formal links with individual centres and, where possible, EV allocations will be allocated at random to ensure that there is no bias through expectation or familiarity.
Candidates must complete all mandatory units in group A and one unit from optional group B. (Total 7 units)
