The NVQ is internally assessed and externally verified.

External quality control is achieved through an effective external verifier sampling process together with an annual approved centre risk rating system. External Verifiers have no links with the centres being verified.
Learners must complete the six mandatory units in Group A and one optional unit from group B (total seven units).
