EDEXCEL Level 4 NVQ in Registered Managers (Adults)

Qualification summary

This qualification has been designed for those working for adults in a care home environment. To achieve the award candidates must complete four mandatory units which cover develop, maintain and evaluate systems and structures to promote the rights, responsibilities and diversity of people; manage a service which achieves the best possible outcomes for the individual; manage the use of financial resources; and manage the performance of teams and individuals. Candidates must also complete six optional units from a choice of nineteen.

Candidates can progress into NVQs in Management or onto vocationally-related programmes such as the Level 5 BTEC National Certificate and Diploma in Health and Social Care.

Candidates must complete all units in Group A, Mandatory Units plus
one unit from each of the Groups B to E, Optional Units. Candidates
must also complete a further two units from any of the four optional
groups.
