For information on the approval of qualifications for funding in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, see the links to DCSF, DIUS, DCELLS, DELNI and DENI below.
When undertaking a qualification that does not appear on the governments' lists as eligible for funding for specific age ranges, users must be aware of legal requirements. Not all qualifications are suitable for all age ranges.
This qualification is available at levels 1, 2 and 3 and thereby allowing progression. The Certificate allows progression across to the NVQ in Furniture, Furnishings and Interiors. A more comprehensive document covering the relationship between the 2 qualifications and their units is available in the scheme handbook.
City & Guilds have an external verification process which provides independent assessment.
