OU Level 4 NVQ in Health and Social Care
Qualification summary
The OUAB aims to meet the established requirement for vocational qualifications in Health and Social Care with a focus on linking NVQs to Open University academic programmes.
The OUAB has continued to work with UNISON, the public service union, a large proportion of whose members in health and social care have no formal qualifications and therefore face barriers to promotion and increased remuneration. NVQs in health and social care are a part of meeting this need for qualifications, and this qualification at level 4 more specifically provides an opportunity for progression from the OUABs level 2 and 3 NVQs.
