The aim of this qualification is to provide the opportunity for learners to develop understanding of specialist areas of beauty therapy sciences and management practice as relevant to the industry. Learners complete a core of units that focus on management skills and the science of beauty therapy. Specialist units provide a focus on specialist aspects of the industry.

Portfolio of Evidence
This qualification is independently assessed using an Edexcel appointed external examiner. The External examiner will review and evaluate objectively the assessment process and standards of learner attainment by independently reviewing, in the first year of the programme, a sample of learner work. The External Examiner revisits in the final year of the programme to independently assess learner work and evaluate decisions on final outcomes.
Candidates must complete all units from Group A plus five specialist optional units from Group B
