The Edexcel Level 2 BTEC Certificate in Retail Beauty Consultancy is designed to provide:

The Edexcel Level 2 BTEC Certificate in Retail Beauty Consultancy is designed to provide opportunities for full-time learners to gain a nationally recognised vocationally specific qualification to enter employment in the field of retail beauty consultancy or progress to further vocational qualifications such as the Edexcel Level 3 BTEC National Award, Certificate and Diploma in Retail, or an Edexcel Level 2 NVQ in Retail or Edexcel Level 2 NVQ in Beauty Therapy.

Edexcel confirms that the assessment for the qualification includes a form of independent assessment as agreed by the regulatory authorities as appropriate to this type of qualification and appropriate to the sector. Unit 3: Retail Selling and Customer care in Retail Beauty must be assessed internally and verified by an independent assessor. The centre will appoint the independent assessor. This person must be an experienced specialist in the field of retail beauty consultancy. The individual must not be the same person who assesses the remaining units in the qualification and must have taken no part in the training of the learners.
Candidates must complete all units from Group A plus one unit from Group B.
