These Awards offer progression up to a level of proficiency that is appropriate for entry to Higher education, Trinity’s higher-level Diplomas in music, drama and speech, as well as other qualifications such as Higher National Certificates (HNCs) and Higher National Diplomas (HNDs) in the performing and visual arts. Candidates who choose not to progress to the Level 3 Arts Award may wish to work towards relevant BTEC Nationals, GCSEs and A Levels.

These qualifications also provide useful information to employers on a young person’s ability to work within an arts context and their understanding of the sector. By encouraging artistic activity, developing high standards of perception, creativity, leadership, communication and team working skills, as well as rewarding progress and achievement, these Awards provide a set of clear standards for the benefit of schools, colleges and employers.
