The qualification aims to:
• develop candidates’ knowledge of a range of different software application types
• develop the ability to use different applications effectively to meet a customer’s specified requirements
• develop candidates’ ability to manage information
• develop candidates’ ability to plan, prioritise and evaluate work tasks effectively
• develop candidates’ skills, knowledge and testing in contexts that are directly relevant to employment situations

Candidates who are successful in achieving the OCR Level 3 Certificate/Diploma for iMedia Users will be able to progress directly to other related qualifications. Those candidates who wish to extend their skills at Level 3 will be able to progress to different optional units.

All units are locally assessed by the centre and externally moderated by OCR.
Learners must complete the mandatory unit from Group A plus two optional units from Group B.
