EDEXCEL Level 2 BTEC Award in Business Administration
Qualification summary
The Edexcel Level 2 BTEC Award in Business Administration is designed to provide:
• education and training for those in administrative roles
• opportunities for those employed in administrative roles to achieve a nationally recognised
Level 2 vocationally-specific qualification
• opportunities for full-time learners to gain a nationally-recognised vocationally specific qualification to enter employment in the field of business administration or to progress to further vocational qualifications such as the Edexcel Level 3 BTEC Award or Diploma in Business Administration
• the knowledge, understanding and skills learners need to work within administrative roles
• opportunities for learners to focus on the development of the major key skills and the wider key skills, such as improving own learning and performance, problem solving and working with others, in an administrative context
• opportunities for learners to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for successful performance in working life.

The Edexcel Level 2 BTEC Award in Business Administration may allow progression into a range of administrative roles including team administrators or administrative assistants. Candidates may also progress to other vocational qualifications such as the Edexcel Level 3 BTEC Award/Diploma in Business Administration, the Edexcel Level 3 BTEC Award/Certificate in Management, the Edexcel Level 3 BTEC Award in Customer Service or the Edexcel Level 3 BTEC National Award/Certificate/Diploma in Business.
