OCR Level 2 National Award in Health and Social Care

Qualification summary

This qualification will form part of the OCR Nationals suite. The OCR Nationals suite provides progression in three stages at both Level 1 and Level 3 and 2 stages at Level 2. The OCR Level 2 National Certificate & Award have been designed to address the needs of candidates at Level 2, who require a:

• smaller sized offering that can be delivered alongside a wider programme of study
• smooth progression route to the existing Level 2 Certificate, for those candidates who would benefit from a programme providing motivation through step-by-step achievement
• candidate-centred route for progression from the OCR Level 1 Nationals in Health and Social Care.

Like the existing OCR Level 2 National Certificate, this qualification is designed for those studying in preparation for employment in the health and social care sector, particularly in job roles where they will be expected to communicate effectively with people and provide support within environments such as care settings
