This is an overarching diploma where the Options and the Key Skills are also standalone qualifications. The Core, including the Individual Investigation, is internally assessed and externally moderated.
This is an overarching qualification comprising a Core and Options. The Core has four components- 1) Key Skills 2) Wales, Europe and the World 3) Work-related education 4) Personal and Social Education. The Options consist of those vocational or academic programmes, such as GCE A level, NVQ level 3, BTEC National Certificate (12 units), chosen by the candidate.

Details of the Core, excluding the key skills are included in the section below on Qualification structure. Although part of the WJEC Level 3 Welsh Baccalaureate Advanced Diploma, the Key skills and Options are also qualifications in their own right.
