The CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education provides learners with the knowledge and understanding of child development and education necessary for working with children in a variety of job roles and settings.

This qualification is based on the current National Occupational Standards for Childrens Care, Learning and Development at Level 3 and reflects the shift in focus to children’s services.

Upon successful completion of the CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education, learners can progress on to a Foundation Degree or related education programmes; for example nursing, midwifery or teaching.

The CACHE Level 3 Diploma supports life-long learning, gives learners UK-wide employment choices and prepares them to work in a supervised or supervisory capacity.

Practical Demonstration / Assignment
Learners will have to successfully complete the assessments for Units 1-9 (including Portfolio Tasks for Units 6, 7 and 8) and 3 Optional Units. For Unit 9 learners will have to fulfil the requirements of Practical Evidence Records to show fitness to practice.

Learners will also have to complete two externally assessed assignments; a short answer test and a research task to complete the Diploma.

CACHE carries out annual standards moderation to ensure that the standards of the qualification is maintained.
To achieve the CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education learners need to achieve 12 units; 9 Group A mandatory units, plus 3 Group B optional units.

Learners will have to complete the assessments for the Level 3 Certificate and complete each asessment at E grade or above to gain the Diploma.
