Qualification summary
The qualification is part of an assessment system of 8 grades, administered by London College of Music Examinations. The system provides a structured approach that enables students to master progressively the understanding, knowledge and skills necessary for effective oral communication and performance; and encourages a love of literature. It provides students with a valuable system of assessing achievement and progress, and provides teachers with a structured system within which to teach. This qualification includes the following endorsed subjects: Verse Speaking, Reading Aloud and Oral Communication.

There are no separately assessed parts of this qualification. All examination components are assessed on a single occasion by an external examiner.
The learner must complete one unit. The following units are offered under this qualification number: Verse Speaking Grades 6, 7 & 8; Reading Aloud Grades 6, 7 & 8; Oral Communication Grades 6, 7 & 8.
