Qualification summary
The Edexcel Level 5 NVQ in Business-Improvement Techniques is aimed at those in the engineering sector who wish to improve productivity and cut waste in the production/provision process. It should enable candidates to identify solutions to problems, standardise operations or seek improvements to processes.
The Level 5 NVQ In Business-Improvement Techniques Lean Leadership has been designed to cover those people:
- who have overall responsibilities for introduction of a Business Improvement programme and who will probably be senior management with specific responsibilities for achieving business objectives or an external change agent specialising in Business Improvement activities
- who through Continuous Professional Development, are being prepared to take on management responsibilities for a Business Improvement programme within an organisation.

The NVQs have been designed to allow progression through the various levels 2 to 5.

Edexcel will ensure equitable and fair delivery of NVQ assessment and verification in Business-Improvement Techniques by carrying out standard external verification and regular risk assessments in each assessment criteria.
Candidates must complete all units in Group A plus one unit from Group B (total nine units).
