EDEXCEL Level 3 NVQ in Leisure Management
Qualification summary
This NVQ is for those working in the Leisure Management industry, typically in a supervisory or Duty
Manager role. It can be attained by working in a leisure management organisation, such as a local
authority or private gym, swimming pool or leisure centre, or community sports facility. It may also be attained by those working in caravan and holiday parks.

When undertaking a qualification that does not appear on the governments' lists as eligible for funding for specific age ranges, users must be aware of legal requirements. Not all qualifications are suitable for all age ranges.

Candidates have several options for progression from the NVQ Level 3 in Leisure Management. Some may complete the additional assessments for Key Skills and the technical certificate required for the SkillsActive Advanced Apprenticeship.
Alternatively, candidates may opt to progress to generic management qualifications, such as the NVQs in Management which are available from Levels 3 to 5 or to one of a wide range of shorter management Certificates and Diplomas offered by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), such as the Level 3 Certificate in First Line Management.

All assessment is work-based. Edexcel issue general guidance to centres that recommends holistic assessment as an holistic and integrated approach to assessment.
All assessed work is subject to internal verification procedures, whereby assessed evidence is sampled on an ongoing basis by appointed and qualified individuals in the centre. External Verification takes place on a regular basis and assessor and internal verification decisions are sampled
