Qualification summary

The AQA GCE in Applid Art and Design has been developed to enable candidates to gain an understanding of 2D and 3D visual language; to develop the skills and understanding all artists, craftspeople and designers need in their work; to develop skills in using materials and techniques; to develop an understanding of specific vocationall relevant aspects of art, crafts or design; and to prepare for either employment or further or higher education within an art, craft or design environment.

This qualification will comprise six AS and three A2 units to include the mandatory units for the AS double award and the A Level single award.
Candidates must enter Units 1-5 plus one option from Unit 6 and Unit 7-9 .
